ASTM A516 is also known as ASME SA516. The A516 / SA516 standard specification for pressure vessel plates, carbon steel, for moderate- and lower-temperature service. A grade A633Gr.D physical properties intended primarily for service in welded pressure vessels where improved notch toughness is required, and is normally found in moderate and lower temperature applications.
